Folly Beach is The Edge of America. This six-mile stretch of beach includes most everything you'd expect to find at a great beach: lots of sand and skinny teens in teeny bikinis, greasy dives, bars with locally named cocktails and seafood, small historic beach cottages, tacky condos, and humongous new rental houses with 10 or more bedrooms for destination weddings, reunions, birthday bashes, etc. It's also got a great County Park with super facilities and parking.

Yet unlike the 19th century image at right, if you plan to get there, remember there is one way in and one way out and the traffic can line up for miles during peak season. Learn more about this special place by selecting a link below.
