Dress for comfort and weather. Good, closed-toed shoes are a must. Because in many cases we will be a guest on private property or places that are considered sacred, please dress respectfully and modestly: tank tops, halters, bathing suit tops, overly revealing short shorts, etc., are not appropriate.
It's often a couple of degrees cooler along the rivers than it is downtown or on the beaches, so layers are a good idea. We will have bug spray wth us (as the South Carolina state bird is the mosquito!), but if you have a favorite brand, please bring it with you as many repellants work differently on different people.
I'm ready to go rain or shine, so no need to let a few clouds spoil our day. Even if it rains, we're still going to have a great time!
