GREAT LOWCOUNTRY ROMANCES

As you would suspect, Charleston's history is filled wit great love stories. These are a few of my favorites.     

John and Affra Harleston Coming, c. 1670s

One of the earliest recorded romances in the Lowcountry actually probably began aboard the Carolina as it carried Charles Town's first permanent settlers from England to Ireland to the West Indies, and finally, to Charleston. Learn more.
